I took a walk down to a local restaurant in my neighborhood of Bed-Stuy (Brooklyn), and cut through a street I've never traversed, to find that one of my neighbors likes to collect statues.

Toynbee Tiles
I love how synchronicity works with me!
On Friday, I was walking to work at my tattoo studio in the East Village, when I came across a freshly placed, decent knock-off of a Toynbee Tile, on 1st Avenue (crossed with 4th Street).
On Sunday, while taking photos for my This Hidden City blog, I came across an original tile on Warren Street (crossed with Church Street).
If you are unfamiliar with the story behind these, I would highly suggest Jon Foy's documentary Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles, or just read up here.

Party Hard, Party Odd
I went to do laundry on Sunday, and - while waiting for the machines - I took a walk to snap some photos for my other blogs.
The area is mainly an empty warehouse district, so it was a bit strange to come across a relic of someone's weekend revelry.

Coney Island Whitefish
During the hottest days of the summer, the action is usually taken outside.
At least the scumbags in my neighborhood know to use protection.
