Vector Gallery

I was walking around eastern Chinatown, taking picture for the Forgotten Rides blog, when my eye was caught by not just oddly shimmering lights, but a Process cross, and Charles Manson's eyes looking back at me.
I had unwittingly come across JJ Brine's Vector Gallery, a supposedly Satanic art gallery.
Sadly, the joint was closed when I found it, so I'll let the photos taken from outside speak for themselves.

I hope to one day find myself in the area again, and Vector to be open.
For all others interested in this bizarre eye candy, you can drop by 154 East Broadway, and see if the door isn't locked this time.

The Words of An Uneducated Man

I was walking around DUMBO yesterday, after I dropped off one in my "Disposable" series for the AccessArt auction, to support Brooklyn Arts Council, when I headed for a pizza place to grab a bite.
As I approached the door, I could tell another man was also going to enter, but I was about three steps ahead of him. In his haste, and though he was still feet from the door, he reached for the knob, which I had already grabbed onto.
Seeing he was in a hurry, I held the door open, and motioned for him to enter.
He stopped dead in his tracks, and with a pissy look, said to me, "You liberals are so exquisite," and pointed to the open doorway, while yelling, "NOW GO!!"
I've never laughed so hard in a stranger's face before.

Peek-a-boo!

I felt as if someone was staring at me.
I turned around to find...
